New Orleans pianist Tom Worrell put together a great lineup of musicians to honor James Booker's birthday. This year it was hosted at the Maple Leaf Bar. A fun night indeed. It was an honor to get to play Booker tunes alongside David Torkanowsky, Josh Paxton, Tom McDermott, Ronald Markham, Johnny Vidacovich, Jack Cruz, Tom Worrell, Joe Krown, and Jon Cleary (great surprise guest). I also accompanied Topsy Chapman whose "Please Send Me Someone to Love" gave me the chills.
Great night Tom W! If you get a chance - check out Lilly Kerber's kickstarter site where she is raising money to finish her Booker documentary.
